| Data recovery on RAID systems is a daily task in our lab at CONVAR. It makes no difference if it an 8GB or several TB RAID arrays.
Actually, RAID systems are very secure because of their complexity. User errors are often made in emergency situations which, in the end, can make data recovery more difficult and expensive.
For a RAID data recovery we need the complete array - this means all hard drives. It is recommended that the RAID controller is delivered with the complete array. Because of all the different firmware updates, it is often the case that the customer cannot indicate which software revision the controller has been updated with. Our technicians will be able to read all the information they need from the controller itself. |
